How Our Booking Process Works
We do not sell fixed packages off a shelf. Every safari we put together starts with a conversation, because a honeymoon couple wanting a romantic camp on the Serengeti needs something completely different from a family with three children asking about Amboseli, and both of those need something different from the photographer who wants a private vehicle and twelve days chasing the migration. The process takes a few days, not a few hours, and that is deliberate — a well-planned safari is worth taking the time to get right.
Step One: Tell Us What You Are Thinking
Fill in the enquiry form below or send us a message directly. You do not need to have a detailed plan — tell us the rough shape of what you are after. Which countries interest you? How long are you thinking? How many people? Any must-sees, like gorilla trekking or the Great Migration? A budget range is helpful but not mandatory at this stage.
The more you tell us, the faster we can come back with something useful. But if you are genuinely at the very beginning and just want to ask some questions first, that is fine too — we will talk you through the options and help you figure out what kind of trip makes sense for you.
Step Two: We Build Your Itinerary
Once we understand what you are looking for, we put together a detailed day-by-day proposal. This includes the parks, the accommodation, the transfers, the guiding, and a full cost breakdown. We will explain why we have recommended what we have recommended — why this camp over that one, why this routing rather than that one, why we think five nights in the Serengeti is better than three for what you want to do.
We will also flag any practical considerations specific to your trip: gorilla permit availability if Uganda or Rwanda is involved, whether internal flights make sense given your timing, and the best parks for what you want to see at the time of year you are travelling. If something in the proposal does not work for you, we revise it. We go back and forth until it is right.
Step Three: Confirm and We Handle Everything
Once you are happy with the itinerary, we take a deposit to hold your dates and start confirming bookings. Gorilla trekking permits sell out months in advance for peak season — June through September — so those get secured first. Camp and lodge reservations follow. Internal flight tickets, park fees, and all ground arrangements are locked in ahead of your travel date.
Before you leave, we send you a full trip file: your day-by-day itinerary, all confirmation details, emergency contacts, packing advice, and anything else you need to know. We are also reachable throughout your trip if anything comes up on the ground.
What Is Included
Our safaris are fully inclusive of accommodation, all meals during the safari, park entrance fees, guide and driver costs, airport transfers, and all ground transportation between parks. International flights are not included — we find clients prefer to manage these themselves for flexibility — but we can advise on routing and the best airports to use.
