This 12-day Big Five and gorilla safari combines Tanzania's Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with mountain gorilla trekking in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: big game first, then an hour with a gorilla family in the forest.
Gorilla permits are limited and sell out months ahead in the dry seasons, so we secure the permit before anything else.

Route
Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Arusha
Met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your lodge near Arusha.
Days 2–4Serengeti
Fly into the Serengeti. Three days of game drives; your camp is chosen for the month, from Ndutu in calving season to the north in crossing season.
Days 5–6Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to the crater highlands and spend a full day on the crater floor for black rhino, lion, elephant and buffalo.
Day 7Fly to Uganda
Fly from Kilimanjaro to Entebbe (connections vary). Overnight near Lake Victoria.
Days 8–10Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Fly or drive to Bwindi. One gorilla trek with a habituated family (permit included), with a spare day for a second trek, a community walk or simply rest.
Days 11–12Return and depart
Back to Entebbe for your international flight.
