Start in the Masai Mara, cross to the Serengeti and finish in the Ngorongoro Crater. Two countries, two styles of safari and the whole Mara–Serengeti ecosystem.
A 10-day Kenya and Tanzania Big Five safari
This 10-day Kenya and Tanzania Big Five safari pairs the two halves of the Mara–Serengeti ecosystem. You start with three nights in the Masai Mara for lion, leopard, elephant and buffalo, cross to the Serengeti for three more, then finish on the Ngorongoro Crater floor, one of the most reliable places in the region for black rhino.
It is a starting point, not a fixed package. In crossing season we place your Mara camp near the river; between January and March we move your Serengeti nights south to Ndutu for calving. Flights and transfers are confirmed when we build your proposal.

Route
Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Nairobi
Met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your hotel. Evening briefing with your trip planner.
Days 2–4Masai Mara
Fly from Wilson Airport to a Mara airstrip (about 45 minutes). Morning and afternoon game drives for lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and buffalo; from late July the river crossings.
Day 5Cross to Tanzania
Fly back to Nairobi and on to Kilimanjaro or Arusha. Overnight in Arusha before the Serengeti.
Days 6–8Serengeti
Fly into the Serengeti. Your camp is chosen for the month: Ndutu for calving, central Seronera for big cats, the north for crossings.
Day 9Ngorongoro Crater rim
Drive or fly to the crater highlands. Afternoon at leisure on the rim with views across the caldera.
Day 10Crater floor & departure
Early descent to the crater floor for black rhino, lion, elephant and buffalo, then transfer to Kilimanjaro airport.
