This 7-day Serengeti calving season safari puts you on the southern short-grass plains around Ndutu when thousands of wildebeest calves are born, usually from late January into March, and when lions, cheetahs and hyenas are at their busiest.

Route
Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Arusha
Met at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to your lodge.
Days 2–4Ndutu and the southern plains
Fly to the southern Serengeti. Game drives among the calving herds on the short-grass plains, and the lions, cheetahs and hyenas that follow them.
Days 5–6Central Serengeti
Drive north to the Seronera area for resident big cats along the rivers.
Day 7Ngorongoro and departure
Crater floor in the morning, then transfer to Kilimanjaro airport.
